Summer = Beach Fun

Even though it has been doing almost nothing but raining for the past few weeks, I'm feeling confident that beach friendly weather is on the way!  We love spending hot summer days at the beach.  Of course, the "beach" here is nothing like the one we used to be so close to in Ontario (Wasaga anyone?).  But, it's the only one we have - so it'll do.
Personally, I have yet to try swimming because I'm afraid it will be akin to polar dipping.  E has gone in a few times.  Unfortunately kids are not a great gauge for water temperature, they seem to be immune to cold when it comes to swimming!  Do you remember being like that as a child?  It didn't matter if the water was cool & refreshing, lukewarm or about to give you hypothermia - we'd all just keep swimming (teeth chartering & all!) until a parent forced us to warm up for awhile.
Great, I'm pretty sure I'm one of those parents now....."C'mon E, the water's pretty cold, sit here & warm up awhile!".  When did this happen???
Anyway, in the spirit of summer and beach lovers everywhere, here is one of my favourite LO's of a day at the beach a few years ago.  Enjoy!
